International
Exposition on Deafness
Planned earlier to be held from September 29, 2004 to October
8, 2004, now reschedule to be held from 5-9 March 2005 at Pragati
Maidan (New Delhi), the show case of India's advances, and venue
of International exhibitions, International Exposition on the
Deafness proposes to bring under one roof the best of diagnostic
equipment, assistive devices, research items, educational/training
materials etc for the Deaf.
International/National Non-Government Organizations, Government
Departments, Rehabilitation Council of India, National Institute
for the Hearing handicapped etc. will show case their achievements
and services provided by them in the fields of deaf education,
training and rehabilitation.
An International Seminar on one of the issues related to deafness
has also been planned and a one day confrence of Hearing International
is proposed to be held on March 5, 2005. Apart from representatives
of organizations of the deaf, their educators, academicians etc.
will participate. Medical professionals, researchers will form
an important component of the Seminar.
